Five arrested after chaotic crowd, fights at boat ramp in Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a Riviera Beach park Sunday night, but found no shooting victim at the scene.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told CBS12 News on Monday that deputies were called to Jim Barry Park, located at 1800 Broadway, around 8:15 p.m. on April 19. While heading to the scene, deputies began receiving additional calls reporting multiple fights breaking out inside the park. Some callers also said shots may have been fired.

When deputies arrived, they found a chaotic scene with a large, unruly crowd. According to the Sheriff’s Office, no victim suffering from a gunshot wound was located, and no injuries consistent with a shooting were found…
