Free seeds available at Tulsa County libraries for spring gardening

Spring is in full bloom, and Tulsa residents looking to start a garden can turn to an unexpected place for help: their local library.

The Tulsa City-County Library system is offering free seed packets at multiple locations, giving gardeners of all experience levels a chance to grow vegetables, herbs and flowers at home.

How the seed library works

The Seed Library program is available at nine Tulsa library locations. Visitors can check out up to 15 seed packets per season at no cost.

The selection includes vegetables, herbs and flowers, with options such as heirloom and open-pollinated varieties that are well-suited for Oklahoma growing conditions.
