A Saturday night fire displaced a family and destroyed a home near Erie in unincorporated Weld County.
Mountain View Fire Rescue crews responded to a large home on Weld County Road 12, just west of Weld County Road 5, around 10 p.m. Saturday night, to find flames flaring out of it, according to spokesperson Rick Tillery. The fire response closed Weld County Road 5 in the area until about 5 a.m. to accommodate Mountain View’s fire response equipment.
