Montgomery County police help track down missing 5-year-old with Autism

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Montgomery County police helped track down a 5-year-old child with Autism after being reported missing on March 25.

At around 7:40 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to the 13000 block of Evanston Street in Rockville for a report of a missing 5‑year‑old child with Autism who had run away from their father. The location was not far from Wheaton Woods Elementary School. Officers immediately began searching for the 5-year-old with multiple patrol units, including K-9 units.

During the response, an officer assigned to the Real-Time Intelligence Center, which uses camera surveillance and data analysis to assist officer operations, found a nearby camera owner and contacted them.
