A traffic stop in Putnam County led to the seizure of nearly 400 pounds of suspected cocaine and the arrest of a California man. Indiana State Police say a trooper stopped a commercial vehicle for speeding on I-70 near Cloverdale. During the stop, the trooper observed indicators of possible criminal activity and obtained consent to search the vehicle. Inside the trailer, officers found duffle bags and boxes containing approximately 392 pounds of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $9 million. The driver, 27-year-old Harmandeep Singh of Bakersfield, California, was taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail. He faces preliminary charges of dealing and possession of a narcotic drug. Police say the investigation is ongoing, and final charges will be determined by the Putnam County Prosecutor.
