HARRISON, Tenn. — A Chattanooga charity that helps thousands of children each year is now dealing with damage to its own building.
Leaders with the Forgotten Child Fund say someone threw rocks through windows at their building in Harrison over the weekend.
They say it happened overnight between Saturday and Sunday near the old Harrison Elementary site, now a community center area.
The group says two people who appeared to be teenagers were involved.
This is deeply disappointing,” the organization wrote in a post to the community. ‘Breaking the windows of a place that exists solely to help children is not a prank. It is not harmless. It takes money away from children who need help, creates additional costs for a charity that already stretches every dollar, and shows a complete lack of respect for the people who work year-round to help others.…
