Proposed $900 million ‘Cosgray Commons’ project draws mixed reaction in Dublin

DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — A proposed $900 million mixed-use development near Ohio University’s Dublin campus is drawing both interest and concern as it continues through the city’s review process.

Design firm NBBJ presented updated plans for the “Cosgray Commons” project to the Dublin Planning and Zoning Commission on April 16, marking the third review of the proposal.

The project would transform roughly 43 acres of agricultural land near State Route 161, Cosgray Road and University Boulevard into a dense, walkable district featuring apartments, offices, retail space, hotels and a conference center.

According to planning documents, the development could total about 3.5 million square feet and include a mix of residential options, employment space and commercial uses arranged along a network of internal streets and open spaces. Plans call for a central greenway, pedestrian-focused design and structured parking.
