KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Former Kansas University track athlete Sharon Lokedi added to her decorated running career on Monday.
Lokedi won her second consecutive Boston Marathon, with a time of 2:18:51, making it the fourth fastest time ever for a woman.

She set a course record last year, finishing with a time of 2:17:20. Fellow Kenyan John Korir won the men’s race, setting a record time of 2:1:52. Both will receive $150,000 and a gilded olive wreath sent from the plains of Marathon, Greece.
