Over 120-year-old St. Louis church demolished after critical tornado damage

ST. LOUIS — Crews began demolishing a historic North St. Louis church damaged by the May 16 tornado on Monday, but church members are optimistic about what’s coming next.

The sound of heavy machinery knocking down Centennial Christian Church’s brick walls clashed with the nearby sound of praise from the congregation in the city’s Fountain Park Neighborhood.
