AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)– About 80 to 85% of all lung cancers are caused by or attributed to cigarette smoking. But that’s not the only thing. Doctors see a lot of lung cancer in people who don’t normally have those kind of risk factors. So people who are younger, people who’ve never smoked. And it could be things like pollution, secondhand smoke exposure.
One of the screenings we’re talking about today is LDCT screening. It’s a quick, non-invasive test that’s proven to reduce lung cancer deaths.
