Advocates push for low-barrier shelter with over 4,000 facing homelessness in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Advocacy groups are urging the city of Chattanooga to do more for its unhoused population.

They say a big solution to help people get back on their feet would be a 24/7 low-barrier shelter.

Those advocates met with elected officials Tuesday to discuss the best path forward for the city’s unhoused community.
