It’s a freeing feeling – when the weather gets warmer, you dust off the old hog and hit the road for the first time in what feels like years, but you never know when a simple bike ride can turn into your last.
According to Pennsylvania’s Motorcycle Safety Program, motorcyclists are killed 27 times more often than motorists, and the risk of getting into an accident may be greater than you think.
“I’ve been to hospital visits. I’ve been to funerals. We’ve done funerals for people,” said Vince Rizzone, Chaplain & Founder of the Mission Riders. “It always seems to be the same case where somebody sees you coming, they see a light way down there, and they’ll look to the right, and they’ll go to turn, and they’ll go to pull out and the bike is right there.”…
