DECATUR, Ala. — A Decatur police officer accused of stealing more than $8,000 from an elderly victim was bound over to a Morgan County grand jury Tuesday after a district court judge found probable cause to proceed with the case.
Morgan County District Judge Shelly Slate Waters issued the order following a preliminary hearing, ruling that probable cause exists to believe the crimes were committed by defendant Elijah Cole, 28.
