SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WALA) – A man Spanish Fort police have dubbed the “TikTok Trickster” is in the Baldwin County Jail after being extradited to Alabama, where authorities say he used social media to deceive women across multiple states to steal money and property.
Brenton Fillers was transferred from North Carolina and booked into the Baldwin County Jail on Friday, according to jail records. He faces two counts of illegal possession of a credit card and theft of property in Baldwin County.
Spanish Fort police have been looking for Fillers since 2023, alleging he targeted a local woman he met on social media and then disappeared with her vehicle. The woman previously told FOX10 News she believed Fillers was taking her car to be repaired — but she said she never got it back.
“This is unreal how many women have been affected or how much they’ve lost from dealing with this man,” she told FOX10 News in a 2023 interview…
