About the Great American Birthday Quilt

The Great American Birthday Quilt was a joint project between:

  1. Visit Williamsburg, the marketing organization for the Historic Triangle
  2. Steve Prince, the Muscarelle Museum of Art’s director of engagement and distinguished artist in residence

People from all walks of life contributed to the work of art. There were separated pieces from individuals, families, quilting guilds, scouts, faith groups, students, military veterans, and others. The pieces were put together to make the finished product.
