Arrest made in 2021 fatal hit-and-run that killed bicyclist

More than 4½ years after a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on North Shields Street, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect.

Nicholas Sierra, 30, of Loveland was arrested April 18 and booked into the Larimer County Jail on charges of failure to remain at the scene, give information or render aid following an accident involving death, a Class 3 felony, and insurance fraud, a Class 5 felony, the sheriff’s office said in an April 21 news release.

Sierra was released on a $5,000 cash bond April 20 following an advisement hearing, online court and jail records show. His next court date is scheduled for April 27…
