Backyard Boils Blow Up: Sauler’s Cajun Nation Cracks Open First Long Beach Shop

Sauler’s Cajun Nation, the pop-up-turned-catering outfit locals know for backyard seafood boils, has leveled up to its first brick-and-mortar, opening Saturday at 301 Loma Avenue in Long Beach. The counter-service spot turns out made-to-order Cajun boils built around a house sauce cooked fresh every day, with options that stretch from single‑pound shrimp bags to a $400 “Bangbang” seafood tray meant for groups.

Owner Steven Sauler traces the whole operation back to casual shrimp boils for friends that snowballed into selling meals on Facebook Marketplace in 2018, followed by eight years of pop-ups and catering before he committed to a storefront. “At first, it was just extra money, but it kept growing,” Sauler told the Long Beach Post, adding that the brand’s sizable social following helped fuel demand for a permanent home. Fans can also keep up with the business on Instagram.
