BUFFALO, N.Y. — Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Lamont Thomas was already known for opening his home, and his heart, to children who needed one.
A foster father to more than 30 kids over the years, Thomas made headlines in 2019 when he adopted five siblings, keeping them together after they had been living apart across Western New York.
