Lawsuit seeks payment for unpaid bills that the developer previously said he was in the process of paying off. The litigation comes in the midst of Jemal’s retreat from the Buffalo market.
Last September Doug Jemal told Investigative Post he was making good on past due bills to contractors who’d filed $3.7 million in liens against the cash-strapped developer’s projects.
Apparently at least one of the eight companies to which he owed money hasn’t been made whole.
