An Illinois pedestrian, 82, died in a crash in Laughlin on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at 1:09 p.m. on South Casino Drive and Tropicana Drive, police said. The unnamed pedestrian was from Roselle, Ill.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police Department said “a pedestrian was crossing South Casino from west to east, north of a marked crosswalk. A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on South Casino in the left lane at Tropicana Drive. The pedestrian entered the Jeep’s path, and a collision occurred when the Jeep’s front right struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was projected in a southwest direction and came to rest along the west curb. The driver of the Jeep brought his vehicle to a controlled stop just south of the collision.”…
