KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – We’ve got one more day of dry conditions before we see the return of severe storm potential late Thursday evening into the night. We’ve also added a First Warn to Sunday for scattered rain and storm chances.
Cloud cover will build in today with temperatures remaining mild. We start Wednesday in the comfortable upper 50s.
Wednesday: Another Great Day!
Wednesday stays pleasant with more cloud cover moving in — expect partly to mostly cloudy skies for the morning before sunshine takes over this afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 70s, still comfortable and well above normal. It’s a good day to be outside before the weather changes.
Thursday: First Warn for Storms
A First Warn is in place Thursday for our next chance of rain and storms, with the potential for strong to severe storms. A Level 2/5 severe weather risk is in place for those along and west of I-35, with a Level 1/5 risk to the east. All of us have a low flood threat.
Much of the day will be dry with windy conditions as gusts from the south clock in up to 40 mph. High temperatures remain consistent with recent days in the mid 70s.
The first potential for rain, storms, and severe storms will come in the afternoon…
