Missouri’s attorney general provides update on Torch Gaming machine crackdown

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Missouri’s attorney general says illegal gambling machines are supposed to be going dark. But KY3 News found that some are up and running in Springfield.

The biggest machine owner is Torch Electronics. They’ve agreed to disable the machines to avoid criminal charges. In February, a federal judge ruled that gaming machines found in gas stations across Missouri are illegal gambling devices.

Now, about two months later, some of those machines are up and running in the greater Springfield area. We talked with Missouri’s attorney general about the efforts she’s making to power down these machines…
