DNP | WATCH: Police release new video of dirt biker accused of hitting children and leaving

WASHINGTON — DC Police released a new video of a person of interest wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a 10-year-old boy hospitalized. Officers continue to search for the dirt bike driver who left that child behind after slamming into him in a bike lane.

The crash happened at the intersection of 14th and Chapin streets Northwest on April 4. On Tuesday, DC Police released new video of a person of interest connected to the hit-and-run. About 40 seconds into the video, you can see what appears to be a man riding a black and blue dirt bike, wearing sunglasses and a black backpack.

A person on a black and blue dirt bike riding northbound on 14th St., NW, popped a wheelie and hit two children who were idling on an electric bike, according to a Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) report. The dirt bike driver then took off, leaving the children bleeding in the bike lane…
