The family of a man shot and killed by Tustin police has been awarded $17 million after a jury found the shooting excessive and unreasonable in a unanimous verdict on Tuesday following a six-day trial.
The man’s children spoke after the verdict. The excessive force lawsuit was first filed in 2022.
