NYC to crack down on businesses still using solid roll-down security gates

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City will soon crack down on business owners who have yet to comply with Local Law 75: Replacement of security gates.

Initially passed by the City Council in 2009, the law requires businesses who use those metal roll-down security gates to protect their store with a version of those security gates that are, at minimum, 70% transparent.
