Four weeks after Vero Beach double murder, police chief gives update on search for gunman

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Four weeks after a double murder outside a local library, the search for 65-year-old Jesse Ellis may be shifting from a manhunt to a recovery mission.

Ellis remains wanted on first-degree premeditated murder charges for the shooting deaths of his wife, Stacie Ellis, and her coworker, Danny Ooley. While the suspect remains at large, Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey states the investigation points toward a grim conclusion.
