SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Firefighters were battling a vegetation fire that was burning on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border Wednesday afternoon.
The “Border 3 Fire” broke out around noon on Wednesday and was burning on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, in the area of Bell Valley in the community of Potrero, according to Cal Fire.
In a 1:30 p.m. update, Cal Fire said the vegetation fire spread to 7 acres on the United States side of the border, and 3 acres in Mexico…
