Quandary Kitchen & Market brings cozy comfort and convenience to Argyle with ski chalet-inspired restaurant

Nestled at the bustling corner of FM 407 and Highway 377 in Argyle, Quandary Kitchen & Market has quickly become one of Denton County’s most talked about new dining destinations. With its unique blend of full-service dining, market-style ready-to-go meals, and a cozy ski chalet-inspired atmosphere, Quandary is reshaping what it means to grab a bite in this rapidly growing North Texas community.

Opened in late October 2025 by Argyle resident and hospitality pro Heidi Fernandes, Quandary fills the space once occupied by the beloved Kimzey’s Coffee Shop with fresh flavors and family-friendly convenience.

Fernandes says the concept was born out of a personal challenge: finding healthy, satisfying meals for her own family without defaulting to fast food. Her solution became a restaurant that answers the age-old question, “What do you want to eat?” — with a warm, welcoming vibe that invites guests to linger, whether grabbing lunch on a weekday or enjoying dinner with friends and neighbors.

A menu with something for everyone

Quandary’s menu reflects a commitment to comfort with a creative twist. Classic sandwiches like house favorites Backcountry Bird chicken sandwich and the upscale Monsieur Alpine grilled cheese sit alongside hearty entrees such as Cilantro Lime Catch and Rocky Mountain Kabobs. Soups, salads and inventive “Mountain Pies” — Quandary’s fun take on pizza — round out a lineup that appeals to a wide range of palates…
