Lincoln Police looking for man who assaulted kids near the Cascade Fountain

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Crime Stoppers is looking for suspects involved in two separate cases of an assault and hit-and-run.

The first case happened back on March 22 around 6:30 p.m. at the waterfall fountain near 27th Street and Capital Parkway.

LPD said three kids, aged 8, 10, and 13, were climbing on the fountain when they say an older man approached them and was verbal with them. They told police they walked toward their scooters so they could leave and said the man followed them.

According to police, the oldest of the kids said that when he sat on his scooter, the man put him in a chokehold cutting off his ability to breathe before finally letting go. The 10-year-old also told police that the man chased him and pushed him from behind…
