‘I have no authority over what happens there’: Gov. Evers responds to calls for action by Ridglan Farms protesters

MADISON, Wis. — As animal rights activists called for Gov. Tony Evers to shut down a Dane County beagle breeding and research facility, Evers said there’s nothing he can do.

Ridglan Farms has been the target of a group of activists who alleged animals at the facility are being mistreated.

Multiple protests were held outside of Ridglan Farms over the weekend, one of which resulted in the arrest of 29 people who attempted to break into the facility and rescue the beagles inside…
