LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Henderson announced Wednesday that it is officially the only Nevada city to provide support response services for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Following a presentation at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the City of Henderson announced that through a partnership with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline call center in Southern Nevada, Henderson will enhance its community-based behavioral health crisis response.

Henderson’s Crisis Response Team will be designated as a key support of individuals in Henderson who call 988 and require in-person crisis response. This designation makes the Henderson team the first and only program in Nevada serving at this capacity, according to the city of Henderson.
