LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating after a woman was found dead on a sidewalk near Bonanza and Pecos Tuesday morning. Detectives determined she had been battered at some point during the night.
8 News Now spoke with various staff at a local business, Desert Pines Rehabilitation, who claimed they knew the woman. The staff told us they were the ones who called the police.

Outside their building, a candle and balloon were seen Wednesday, in the area they say the body was found. Staff walked over together, pausing their workday for a prayer.
