MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KATU) — Federal investigators say a McMinnville restaurant shorted 19 workers on overtime pay and improperly handled tips, leading to more than $200,000 in recovered back wages.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division found that Taste of India 1 incorrectly categorized 19 workers as exempt and did not pay them the legally required overtime premium, according to the agency.
