What started as a tense lockdown at Copper Ridge School on Thompson Peak Parkway Tuesday night ended with Scottsdale police declaring the campus clear after a report that someone on site might have a weapon.

Officers carried out a methodical, room-by-room sweep of the school and reported finding no suspects and no weapons. No injuries were reported. After the search, the lockdown was lifted and the campus shifted into a shelter-in-place status, with students and staff kept on campus under controlled movement.
