Lakemore Village sanitary sewer project moves to second phase

LAKEMORE — The second phase of Lakemore Village’s sanitary sewer project is set to begin as Village Council April 20 approved two property easements related to the estimated $2 million project.

According to Administrator Tracy Sayers, the easement agreements with the Springfield Local Schools District and Akron Center Associates are necessary to complete work on the sanitary sewer line off Main Street and through school district property near the district bus garage and up to the Lakemore Plaza.

Sayers said both phases of the project include sewer pipe relining or replacement, depending on the need. She added that Phase 1, which includes most of the numbered streets, as well as Raymond and Josephine avenues, is largely completed…
