Common Council questions Acting BPD Commissioner over role night of D.J. Granville crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo’s Acting Police Commissioner Craig Macy appeared before the Buffalo Common Council’s Police Oversight Committee on Wednesday to face questioning regarding his role the night of the D.J. Granville crash.

The topic on the table of Wednesday’s committee hearing was what role Macy played the night Erie County’s former top narcotics chief D.J. Granville crashed his county-owned vehicle into several cars on Buffalo’s West Side in April 2024.
