Massive fire burns 9,200 acres of wildland in western Broward

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — In two days, a massive fire has burned 9,200 acres of wildland in western Broward County, according to the Florida Forest Service.

The fire started on Tuesday and burned just west of U.S. Highway 27. It expanded on a dry Wednesday, as the National Guard joined the fight.
