Pilatus announced on Friday that it has begun construction on its new facility at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (BJC) in Broomfield, Colorado.
The new building will have a premium delivery center where customers will be able to configure and personalize their Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24. Pilatus also plans to expand its existing engineering and passenger seat processing capabilities for the fleet. The company states that sustainability is a key element of the project and that the facility is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification. Photovoltaic panels will be incorporated to harness solar energy.
“This new facility, with an investment of 50 million US dollars, will allow Pilatus to expand local engineering capabilities by creating more than 50 new, highly paid jobs,” said Pilatus Group CEO Markus Bucher. “Together, these functions will support Pilatus’ continued commitment to quality, innovation, and Swiss craftsmanship while ensuring an exceptional customer experience”…
