LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A rollover crash shut down both southbound lanes of I-5 Thursday morning after Oregon State Police (OSP) said a driver trying to evade troopers struck a patrol vehicle and rolled several times.
OSP tells us troopers were attempting to locate the the vehicle when a trooper spotted it.
Police say the driver initially got away, but when troopers tried again to pull him over, he swerved into the grass and hit a patrol vehicle before the truck rolled several times and came to a stop.
The driver, who has not been identified, was taken for a medical evaluation and then booked into jail, OSP said…
