CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Recent drug busts across the Lowcountry are raising concerns about the flow of fentanyl and other narcotics into South Carolina and the impact on local communities, even as statewide data shows a decline in drug offenses.
According to the latest report from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, drug offenses dropped by about 10% over the past year. But local groups that work directly with people struggling with addiction say they have not seen a slowdown.
