The Creedmoor Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to remove the mayor’s authority following his most recent criminal charges.
Under the vote, Mayor Antwane Terrill Downey will no longer be allowed to speak on behalf of the city, use a city email account or access City Hall outside of official meetings or scheduled appointments.
