Police investigate Cedar Rapids home

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A heavy police presence was seen outside a home Thursday morning on the 1400 block of Oakland Road Northeast in Cedar Rapids.

A KCRG reporter was on scene around 7:30 a.m. and saw what appeared to be multiple people in handcuffs on the front lawn. Cedar Rapids Police as well as Hiawatha Police were seen responding.

Hiawatha Police Chief Ben Kamm told TV9 that a search warrant was carried out for stolen property, but did not know if anyone was arrested or charged. According to the Cedar Rapids Police activity log, the call was a “focused patrol.”…
