Little Rock’s Lost Forty Brewing takes silver in 2026 World Beer Cup

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Lost Forty Brewing is raising a glass to international recognition after earning a Silver Medal at the 2026 World Beer Cup, widely considered the “Olympics of Beer.”

Officials said the award came for its TWIG Solera Table Bier in Category 31, Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer. The award was made at the April 20 – 23 Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The conference is often called “The Olympics of Beer” as the most prestigious beer competition in the world, officials said. The 2026 edition was among the most competitive in its 30-year history, they added, with 8,166 beers from 1,644 breweries judged across 113 beer and five cider categories, with medals awarded in 186 styles by 255 judges representing 37 countries. Breweries from 50 nations competed.

TWIG Solera Table Bier is an ale that Lost Forty brewers describe as “refreshing, effervescent and lightly tart.” It is made using a blend of wild cultures harvested around Little Rock and fermented in Lost Forty’s Missouri White Oak barrel, with an Alcohol by Volume of 3.9%, they explained…
