BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Buncombe County Government is looking to fill job gaps and build a pipeline of future employees, bringing more than 100 people together for its annual career fair at the East Asheville Library.
The event gave jobseekers a chance to network with hiring managers, learn about benefits and make in-person connections with the people responsible for filling open positions. Recruiters said they are seeing shortages in several fields, including 911 dispatching and social work.
