A Major Upgrade for the Otters
The biggest change is a brand-new North American river otter habitat set to open during OtterPalooza, happening May 22–24. The new space replaces a 40-year-old enclosure and is more than three times larger, featuring over 3,200 square feet of land and water areas, more than 21,000 gallons of water, underwater viewing windows, and natural spaces designed for swimming, digging, and exploration.
You’ll even be able to watch otters from below the surface and see feeding behaviors that mirror life in the wild!

A Sculpture With a Second Life Story
