York County firefighters rescue ducklings from sewer drain

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Any first responder will tell you, no two days are ever the same. Sometimes, the day starts with ducklings trapped in a sewer drain.

The Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department in York County found these little cuties Thursday morning.

Firefighters said they don’t like to directly intervene with wildlife to let nature take its course, but this wasn’t the first time these ducklings found themselves in this predicament. It was the third.

So, firefighters got the ducklings in a row and helped them to a nearby lake, where hopefully they won’t feel the need to waddle into a dangerous situation again…
