JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) – Dozens of residents, neighbors and community members gathered Thursday night to demand change at the Meranda Complex, where tenants say they continue to face security threats and safety concerns.
Jeffersonville City Councilman Evan Stoner organized the public meeting at the CASI building, bringing together people affected by ongoing issues at the 12-story Section 8 senior housing building on Wall Street.
Residents described strangers living in stairwells, drug use in common areas and people entering the building without authorization. One resident said she was so frightened, she couldn’t sleep at night…
