Dragway events moved from Montgomery after alleged gunfire video surfaces

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The International Hot Rod Association has moved two upcoming races out of Montgomery after a social media video from a prior event appeared to capture the sound of rapid gunfire, according to the organization and the owner of Montgomery International Dragway.

The Montgomery International Dragway was scheduled to host two events as part of the IHRA’s Outlaw Nitro Series and Small Tire BRATZ Series. But IHRA announced it was relocating the races “out of an abundance of caution” following the video’s circulation online.
