HOMETOWN ENTERTAINMENT: Theatre, festivals and concerts this weekend

FINCASTLE Va. (WDBJ) – Attic Productions in Fincastle is offering a new twist on fairytales with its production of “Never After Happily,” running through May 3 at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $23.

Vinton Dogwood Festival returns

The 71st annual Vinton Dogwood Festival is happening Friday and Saturday in downtown Vinton, featuring live music, food, vendors, kids zone and petting zoo.

Children’s choir concert

The Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir takes the stage with its 39th Annual Spring Concert on Saturday at Christian Life International Church in Salem. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 for kids 12 and under, $25 for adults.

Masquerade ball and season reveal

The Roanoke Bear Theatre Season Reveal & Masquerade Ball takes place at the Green Goat restaurant Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
