The New Lenox Fire Protection District contained a rapidly growing vehicle fire Thursday morning that threatened to destroy a home.
At 7:58 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 1700 block of Tomahawk Ridge following reports of a truck on fire in a residential driveway. The incident was quickly upgraded to a structure fire response at 8:00 a.m. after 911 dispatchers confirmed the vehicle was parked only two feet from the garage.
